Treating WTS (as one of my symptoms) some years ago made a huge improvement in my long term battle with Lyme disease. My Lyme doctor recently discovering the prevalence of gluten intolerance in those with Lyme has allowed me (and almost all of her patients) to regain full health.
Thanks to Dr. Wilson for his discovery of Wilson’s Syndrome! My Lyme doctor tells me virtually all of her Lyme patients have (had) WTS. She was unaware of WTS until I began seeing her a year ago. She told me treating WTS with T3 has been a huge help to every single Lyme patient under her care. 90% of her 200+ plus Lyme patients had WTS! But no longer. Treating WTS then, recently, removal of gluten from diets has restored most of her patients to full health!
Best regards,
Gary
Dear Dr. Wilson, Many thanks for your research and persistence in determining an underlying cause of low body temperature. I have been running subnormal temps for the past twenty-one years and none of my physicians seemed to be terribly concerned. During these years, I had long suspected that my fatigue (never felt rested), slow but steady weight gain(despite various diets), and feeling of being “chilled to the bone” especially in the evening had something to do with my temperature running between 95.4 to 96.7 degrees on a regular basis. Unless I used an electric blanket or insisted that my husband warm my side of the bed before getting under the covers, I could lay in one spot for hours and never be able to warm the sheets directly under me.
A distant relative happened to mention that she had recently been diagnosed with WTS and went on to describe her symptoms of being chilled constantly. I immediately began asking questions, read your book and manual and suddenly began making sense out of the symptoms I had been experiencing.
I made a call to a physician in my area and inquired about his willingness to take me on as a patient. He read your book and manual, ran the appropriate blood work and proceeded to treat me following your protocol.
My temperature has gradually returned to close to normal (97.7 to 98.6), I am experiencing a sense of well-being that I haven’t felt for years. I actually wake in the morning feeling energetic and am motivated to accomplish things, rather than trying to struggle through the day seeing how little I can do to just get by. As an additional benefit, I have lost twenty-eight pounds and am wearing clothes that haven’t fit for several years.
Thank you again for your work in this field and the gift of restored health.
Sincerely,
Cynthia C.

I wanted you to know how miraculous your T3 therapy was for me. I’ve been hypothyroid for most of my life (getting diagnosed is a story in itself!). One of my doctors had tested for reverse T3 after I had noticed that even though we had increased my T4 (Levoxyl), I wasn’t feeling better, much less well. My labs consistently showed RT3 values in the 200/300 range, and nothing we did made it come down much. He was out of ideas on how to treat me, so I found a naturopath who happened to be in your network. Because I also had low temperature issues, she convinced me to try your WTS therapy. We have gone through several cycles and WOW! I have never felt so good in my entire life. I am not exaggerating: it is absolutely amazing to have such good, clean, strong energy all day! If this is how normal people feel all the time, what a blessing! I haven’t yet resolved my temperature (likely because I’m truly hypothyroid and will always need medication) but it’s more reliably in the normal range now. My RT3 is at non-detectable levels and the meds I do take are much more effective. I’m so grateful to you, Dr. Wilson. Please keep working on getting the word out! You are making a difference!

I have been on WT3 for about 18 days and have been amazed by the increase in energy and the decrease in pain that I have experienced. I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia several years after I started taking Synthroid for a high TSH level….
This is … invaluable … to the “wandering wounded”! I was first clinically diagnosed as hypothyroid at age 12, only to have that reversed because of what was then found to be a normal BMR (basal metabolism rate) test. After a lifetime of struggle, I am now finding what seems to be magical relief in Dr. Wilson’s system. God bless all of you who support us. ‘Too bad this wasn’t around 60 years ago when I first needed it!!! Better late than never

OOOHHHH my ….THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU…..I am so glad I found your web site. I called one of the Dr’s on your list. He started me on the WT3 7.5, and I just had to go up to 15 mcg twice daily and I am a NEW PERSON…The real me is back and stronger, smarter etc…than ever. THANK YOU !!!!!!! A million times :):):)
It happened quick for me. This is only my 4th week and I noticed a huge change immediately. I have been hypothyroid for over 10 years, I’m 36 yrs old currently, I was taking 9 grains of ARMOUR thyroid….The ARMOUR always controlled my thyroid issues until 1999 when I was in a horrible car accident….coma for 14 days, really bad head injury, 5 broken bones in my body, not expected to survive….but I did, my son was only 3 months old at the time so I had to for him!!!!
Anyway….Thank you for your web site and all your fantastic LIFE SAVING research, you really did save my life, gave me back the REAL ME.
You’re the BEST :):):)

Thanks a million for the Wilson’s protocol. Taking T3 only for about 3 months got rid of my reverse T3 over 2 years ago, and I just had some lab work done and rT3 is still very low (even though I am back on dessicated thyroid since then)! Yay!!!! I couldn’t believe how the brain fog lifted about 2 months into the program! How lucky that we live in the age of the internet with all this wealth of information at our fingertips and even luckier that there are still dedicated professionals like Dr. Wilson who dare to question conventional treatment which is simply inadequate.

I have been taking T3 [for two months].
This is the best that I have ever felt in my life. I read the Doctor’s Manual and from what I understand, now is when I should be weaning off of it. I am reducing my dose and my temperature is normal still. I feel great and have good energy.
Do people just do one cycle of T3 and then never need it or only in times of high stress or do they go on and off it for the rest of their life?
Thank you for answering my questions.
Elisabeth H.>>>>>>>
Dear Elisabeth,
Yes, some people seem to need only one cycle and may not need it again. On the other hand, some patients do relapse under periods of severe stress and may need to take some T3 (usually, the sooner the relapse is caught, the less medicine and the less time is needed to correct it). Other than that, patients don’t usually need to go on and off it for the rest of their life.
Warmly,
Denis Wilson, MD
I have been on T3 for over a year … I have lost over 100 pounds.
Take care,
Kathie
I have Hashimoto’s as well as WTS. I feel very fortunate to have found a doctor who realized my Reverse T3, in addition to my elevated TSH and TPO antibodies, was high enough to be a problem and that T3 was the correct therapy to pursue. Thank you so much for making the Doctor’s Manual available for free. I already have your book, but all of the case studies in the Doctor’s Manual were really helpful. My friends and I are very grateful to have found out about WTS!
Thanks.

I want to thank you for your insight and research into the thyroid! For over 10 years I was hypoglycemic and needed to eat almost every 3 hours. Then, when I was 32 I started gaining weight and developed acne while I was still working out! Then, I started noticing that I stopped doing things with my friends, I didn’t return phone calls, I didn’t GO SHOPPING & I love to shop,I found myself leaning on things or sitting down, and I had zero patience, ALL because I was too tired. I was also crying for no reason, and I had an overall “overwhelmed”/depressed feeling. I just felt like I only had so many hours in a day to get things done…because the headaches would start and I would be too tired, going to bed at 6 or 7 o’clock. I went to my doctor and after many blood tests I was told I was normal and to try Weight Watchers and I was given some acne medicine. Eventually, after 2 doctors, a blood test showed antibodies, so they said I had Hashimoto’s and put me on Synthroid. Yes, at first I saw a difference, but I had to increase my dose every 5-8 months.
Plus, I still didn’t feel like me! I could go to work, but I still had that anxiety like…I only have so much time to get things done and I was a post-it note Queen, I couldn’t remember anything! THEN, my boyfriend found your website! He ordered your book and made an appointment for me to see one of the listed doctors. (I couldn’t get organized and never had the energy to call the Dr. and ask her my questions. Luckily, he did this for me!) After weaning off of Synthroid, I started the T3. I HAVE FELT SO MUCH BETTER! I am back to myself! I can’t believe how bad I was, now that I feel myself again! I laugh, my positive outlook is back, I’m exercising again, the acne is gone, I’ve lost some weight, AND, I don’t have to watch my sugar levels! I don’t have to carry snacks around with me! My temperature is about 97.9 average, I was in the 96.7 area when I started, so I still may improve! I’m on my third cycle of T3 and I have had both family and friends comment on how I have my bounce back in my step and voice! I am so grateful that you have done this research! I have told so many people about your site and I only hope more will try it! For anyone who might read this, hang in there and trust what your body is telling you! So get a friend to help you find a doctor and get your old life back!!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Thank you for all your study and research. I kept blaming chemotherapy for my many symptoms. Turns out the chemo affected my thyroid and my problems are from my thyroid. What a revelation! I’m so thankful I found a doctor who knows about you and your theory. I’m still not where I’d like to be but I’m making progress with [T3] and thankful for the improvement I do have. God bless you. You are special to a lot of people. I’m trying to convince others to check their thyroid for their symptoms.
Sincerely,
Paula G.
Hi Dr. Wilson,
My story with WTS [Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome] begins about 14 years ago when I became very ill; the usual complaints however that a doctor will ascribe to about any cause: horrible fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, depression, lethargy, the list goes on… i really though I was dying!
Unfortunately I was diagnosed by a family doctor with what she said was borderline hypothyroidism and started on T4. I did feel somewhat better at first, but then shortly after got worse upon which she upped my dose. This went on for about one year with the doctor increasing my dose yet my symptoms returning.
I really feel at this point if I had been treated for WTS and not hypothyroidism I could have been cured, and I feel that the T4 therapy suppressed my system and made me hypothyroid although I have since been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease so I could be wrong.
I decided to stop taking T4 medicine, but this did not help either and my symptoms returned even worse than before. At this point a TSH test showed me being off the charts hypothyroid. I agreed to go back on T4 but really didn’t get any benefit.
I discovered by accident that I had a persistently low body temperature. Then I discovered your web site and everything you spoke about fit my condition exactly, especially the low body temperature. My temperature was consistently in the high 96 low 97 range. I found a doctor who treated me with the WTS and stopped taking T4 medicine. It took about a year for me to capture my temperature…it was apparent to me that T3 made me feel better.
After capturing my temperature the doctor put me on Armour thyroid and I remained on Armour thyroid for several years with no return of my symptoms.
…
An interesting note to make is that I have seen the inverse relationship between low thyroid/body temperature and high cholesterol and also the relationship between low thyroid/body temperature and testosterone.**If possible I don’t ever want to take any T4 in any form ever again
I am a major WTS advocate and have directed a lot of people to your web site. The theory of WTS is actually very simple to understand and the treatment is very simple too. I get frustrated by people and especially doctors who would consider every other treatment and even ones that are very bad for a person without even trying a trial of T3 therapy when someone has a low body temperature.
Thank you for what you have done and please let me know if there is any way I can support your work.
Sincerely, P.R.
Since starting treatments I have finally been free from migraine headaches. I took Fiorinal on a daily basis whenever I got a headache so as not to go into a full blown migraine. When the Fiorinal didn’t work I was given Darvon. I was also sent, on occasion, to the emergency room for a shot, because the pain was so intense. It was humiliating because they seemed to act as if I was faking just to get a shot of pain killer, as if I enjoyed waiting for hours to get stuck with a needle. I have had to take nothing for pain for the past two years, because I no longer have headaches, much less migraines. Thanks, Dr. Wilson.

A rash started to break out over my entire body. It got so bad, I went from doctor to doctor looking for help. I had gone to five different doctors. They all ran tests and found nothing. They all treated me with ointments and antibiotics. I could not tolerate air conditioning at all. My skin over my entire body was continually flaking. I had to change clothes, shower, and lotion my entire body twice a day. My hair came out, and every one of my finger nails and toe nails came off. The skin on my hands and feet was thick and dry, and would burst open and bleed. I was so irritable my wife was afraid to talk to me at times. I am 61 years old, but I looked well over 100. My family and everyone else that knew me thought I was dying. I guess maybe I did too. After 7 months of this I saw another doctor, but this time it paid off. I know without a doubt that Dr. Wilson’s treatment saved my life. After starting treatment and getting my temperature up, I gradually returned to normal, almost from a point of no return. After I began to improve, then everyone started telling me how absolutely horrible I did look. Of course, they wouldn’t say before how bad I looked. I will be eternally grateful to Dr. Wilson for giving me my life back.

Dear Dr. Wilson,
I am writing this letter to thank you for what you have done for me. Your diagnosis and treatment of me has changed my life!
Five years ago my life and my health seemed to take a turn for the worse. I was under an extreme amount of stress but it never occurred to me that the problems I was experiencing were also responsible for the changes taking place in my body. I had headaches, my skin was becoming dry and flaky, I had a loss of energy, and some accompanying depression. I also began to gain weight even though my food intake had actually decreased. Being a reasonably intelligent person and aware of my body and its reactions, I knew something was wrong. I began to retain fluids and my feet and ankles were so swollen and painful that, at times, it became uncomfortable to stand or walk.
At this point I decided to seek professional help. I went to two different doctors and got the same answers from them, answers that were to prove to be of no help whatsoever. Both said they could find nothing that was not within “normal” limits. In other words, they as much as said there was nothing that could be done to help me. I was beginning to think all of my problems were in my head rather than in my body.
When I found out about the Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome Treatment Center, I made an appointment. As I filled out the patient information sheet and checked off all my symptoms, I became embarrassed at the number of symptoms I had that corresponded with your list. When my temperature was taken and registered below normal, I remember saying to the nurse, “That’s O.K., It’s always low.” Little did I realize at the time how important that fact about low body temperature would prove to be.
Needless to say, you know the rest of the story. I began taking the T3 medication and remarkably, within 3 days, I began to feel much better. All of my symptoms disappeared within the first week. My family and friends could not believe the immediate changes in me. I had almost forgotten what feeling good was all about. I know there must be many, many people who are in the same condition I was. If only they could know about your treatment. I refer everyone I meet who has the same symptoms I had.
Now that I understand Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome and its symptoms, I believe that this condition attributed greatly to my mother’s ill health. My life has changed completely thanks to you and your research. It’s good to know that there are still doctors who are not content to rest on the knowledge they acquired in medical school or on the research of others. Thank you again for everything.
– Debbie W.
Sandra: I’m writing to thank you for the return of my good health! Since I began treatment for Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome I have felt better than I have for over ten years.
After three days on your medication, my daughter said, “Mom, I can’t believe it. You even look better.” It’s been a steady improvement ever since, and after only two months, all those years of ailments, lethargy, depression, bronchitis, and on and on, seem almost like a bad dream. I can actually walk up stairs without having to rest at the top, and I’m using only about a fourth of the bronchial medication. I have also slept better than I have in years. I would be too exhausted, sleep fitfully for one to three hours, then pace for a couple of hours and drag myself out of bed with the alarm. This has not happened once since my first day of your T3 treatment. It’s wonderful to wake up rested and looking forward to the new day. Again, thank you and God bless you.
Suzi: I felt the need to take a moment to write a letter of thanks to you. I have been following your treatment of my mother, Sandra, and I must tell you the results of your work are a miracle. As long as I can remember, she has struggled and fought with her health. The headaches she suffered would send her life into a downward spiral of pain from which she would take days to recover. She was in so much pain that she would be unable to perform even the smallest daily tasks, and her family suffered with her. Within three days of your treatment, my mother had more spirit, vigor, and love of life than I had seen in her for ten years. She has enjoyed each day as if it was her first and the joy on her face is a sight to behold. She shines with the same youthful glow that we have missed for so long.
Doctor, your work has given this family their mother back, and to you we are eternally grateful. May the Lord bless you and your work.
– Sandra G. & Suzi G.
I just wanted to THANK YOU for all your hard work in discovering this syndrome and its treatment! I feel like I am able to see the sunshine now when before there were only clouds. I am about 70-85% normal when before I would say I was functioning at about 40 or 50%. It is like my body is waking up after a long, long time of just wanting to sleep all day and not being able to sleep at night, misery, pain, etc….. I have more energy, I am less achy, I sleep better and I would say the depression is gone!
Anyone who is thinking about doing the WT3 protocol and has a low temperature, it is worth it!! I have gotten my life back little by little. And to those who are unsure if they want to stick with it, DO! It took me a while to get stabilized, but when you get there it is so worth it.

T3 Therapy: I am happy, it is like a miracle
I started T3 therapy about three months ago after suffering from “thyroid problems” for 3 years. I had been told by countless docs that my thyroid levels were “fine”, and therefore I felt fine. Every doc I saw referred me to a psychiatrist. Initially I went. I explained I had thyroid trouble but was taking Synthroid. Psychiatrist said (after 8 minutes), “You are depressed. Prozac will get you running again. Here’s your prescription, that will be $150, pay the receptionist on the way out.” I quit Prozac after a year.
I read about T3 after searching the internet and some news groups. I started looking for a Dr. who would simply work with me on trying T3 (Liothyronine). All said no. “Blood levels ok, on Synthroid, then no probs with thyroid, see a psychiatrist.” Success started when out of frustration I got in an argument with an endocrinologist over the phone. She broke down and told me of an “alternative medicine” person, “But I don’t recommend her,” she said. The alternative medicine person was going to Europe to study, but referred me to a doctor in Greenville, PA named Roy Kerry. I immediately made an appointment. They sent me a ton of papers with data to collect. After some tests and a second visit, I received my first batch of T3. I immediately felt better, have felt better ever since. I have lost weight, no more aches and pains, I am happy, it is like a miracle.
I have told everyone about Dr. Kerry, and I have probably increased his clientele 4 fold. This is the best thing to happen to me in years.
The word has to be put out to regular doctors in some fashion that they will respect. Being a government (system) person myself, I understand how a system like medicine will not look at something that they can find even the slightest flaw with. If even one dr. had been willing to work with me and just “try”, “experiment”, “titrate”, whatever it would be called to make doctors happy, I could have had an improved three years of my life.
Dave N.
Dear Dr. Wilson,
“I am so pleased to say that about 8 months ago I stumbled upon your website and couldn’t believe the symptoms I was reading which described my 21 year old daughter to a tee! Throughout her childhood she would have bouts of feeling really lousy with symptoms like muscle aches, or joint pain, tiredness, and feeling chilled. Then other days she’d be fine. I didn’t think it was serious or specific enough to bring her to a doctor. Looking back now I see that when she was under stress her symptoms were worse.
She is living on her own now and about 8 months ago she started to gain weight very rapidly (she has always been tiny with a 5’2” frame at 110 lbs.) and she had days where she was debilitated with joint aches and always felt cold. Also she was having an irregular menstrual cycle and complained of acne. That’s when I started to search the internet for answers. I printed a lot of pages off your site and gave them to her to read. She found a Naturopath doctor close to where she lives and told her she wanted to have her thyroid checked out. She had some blood work done and the doctor told her to record her body temp certain times a day and so on her next visit she went in with a folder full of information on WTS.
Even before she had a chance to show the doctor the information, the doctor told her she suspected she had “Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome” and would need T3 therapy! She was thrilled to have to look no further! Her low body temp was running around 96.5 avg. her menstrual cycle stopped completely and she had gained 25 lbs. Within a week after starting T3 her weight gain ceased and she started her cycle again. Its been about 2 months since being weaned off T3. She was able to capture her temp. at 98.6 and has felt so much better than she has in a long, long time.
Thank you so much, we can only imagine what her condition would be like now if left unchecked or left in the hands of conventional medicine.”

I did a round of the WT3 protocol and my temperature has been right at 98.6. I have more energy, and have seen improvement in all my symptoms. However, I was concerned that I was not losing any weight. Then, I decided to try eating healthier foods and the weight started coming off. Now, I had dieted before and actually either gained or stayed the same. I know for sure the WT3 jump started my metabolism so I could lose. I have lost 14 lbs in 2 months.
I am so thankful that I found Dr. Wilson online, and he led me to Dr. John Filippone in Lubbock, Texas. He has been so helpful. He even called me and advised me during a family crisis. Dr. Filippone follows the protocol to a T which is what I was looking for in a Doctor. He is such a caring, compassionate person. I urge anyone in his area to go to him for a consultation if you think you have WTS. He will help you.
Thanks,
Judy D.
“My temperature is close to normal now.”
I’ve probably had WTS for at least 20 years. My energy has improved. I have lost 12 pounds due to fluid retention. My sleeping has improved. My monthly cycle is more normal than it has ever been. I’ve even started walking (about 1 mile a day). Plus my temperature is close to normal now. Your web site has been terrific. Your newsletters are such an encouragement; please continue to send them. I found out about it, though, because I was mis-diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I am grateful to have been mis-diagnosed because I never would have found out about WTS otherwise. Thank you for all your help!
Deb
“I am starting to spread the word. You have given me hope.”
“6.5 years back, 6 months after I gave birth to my son, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis and the doctor put me on Synthroid 0.088 right away. Since then my tests always are within the range and my dosage never changed. Like everybody else, I felt a little better at the beginning. But as the years passed I feel the symptoms that are listed on your web site are getting worse. I have at least 20 of them with PMS, weight gain, irritability, allergies, constipation, depression being the most visible ones. As you stated in the web page, they seem to be worsening with stress and in time.
But I am not a person who will sit back and listen to a doctor who says “you will never recover from this and you have to use the medication for the rest of your life”. I went to world renowned endocrinologists and all told me the same things. I always thought I will be rid of this sickness, I always knew there was a piece missing.
Anyway, As I read your web site it felt like the pieces of puzzle is coming together. I know that I had the symptoms of WTS since I was 10 years old which I will discuss with the doctor that I am trying to find from your web site… Right now, I am in the process of interviewing doctors and I just ordered the Doctor’s manual.
WTS makes so much sense. I have a lot of friends with the same problem. As soon as I gather all my info together and find the right doctor I am starting to spread the word. You have given me hope.”
Sincerely,
Kamelya
“We finally had the answer for our bizarre symptoms”
Issues covered in the account below:

I am a single mother, part-time student, and a full-time employee of an insurance agency. There was a time when I could not have possibly kept the daily schedule I have now, and absolutely could not have thought clearly, even if I could manage the hours. I recall very well a little over 2 years ago when I could not concentrate on instructions being given for a new job. I would record the information and go home and listen to it again. My goal through the day was to survive physically until I could sit down at home for the rest of the night until bedtime. I would be completely exhausted.
One spring day at work, I really panicked when I realized I could not add simple figures such as 6 + 4. Later that summer I became so sleepy while driving home one night from an all-day shopping trip that I had to let my teenage daughter drive us back to my mom’s house where we were visiting. I was oblivious to the fact that she was lost and driving miles and miles out of our way. I was in a very deep sleep.
When I mentioned my symptoms to a doctor treating my daughter, he stated that I needed to increase my thyroid medication. This helped for a while, but only a short time later I was feeling as badly as ever. Added to my chronic yeast infections, allergies, and other strange symptoms such as fibromyalgia, I was also diagnosed with cytomegalovirus. My husband, also a medical doctor, was never able to help me find the cause of my symptoms.
Then one day a patient in the emergency room where my husband was working told him about the work of Dr. Wilson. Within a few short weeks, my daughter and I were both Dr. Wilson’s patients. We finally had the answer for our bizarre symptoms.
The stress I am under at present would put many people in the hospital. I’m convinced of it. Yet, I am now able to continue, so far, without even one day being sick from the many viruses that have attacked many people I know this winter. When my best friend called from home in another state, she had a terrible disease and was not finding much help, although her husband is a doctor. As she described her symptoms, I realized she had Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome. Her husband was convinced to call Dr. Wilson. Now my friend is also finding help from her “strange disease”.
I will be forever thankful for the work of Dr. Wilson and his discovery that helped me and two of the most important people in the world to me. He has given to us, and I am sure to many others, a quality of life that before would not have been possible.

I am on my second cycling of T3 and doing very well. On my first cycle I captured my 98.6 temp on 90 mcg of T3, it took 2 weeks to capture 98.6, then I continued on that dose for an additional 2 weeks. I was a bit nervous and agitated on that dose, but started taking KAVA (Kavatrol brand), from the health food store and felt better immed., it has amazing effects on anxiety. I weaned off and my average temps dropped to 98.1-98.3. I waited 6 days, then started my second cycle of T3. I captured my 98.6 temp in 2 days, on only 22.5 mcg. I feel very good, and my anxiety is gone, depression is greatly improved, blurred vision is gone, headaches are gone, I have a lot more energy, fuzzy thinking is much better, I’ve lost 5 lbs. I feel better all the time! I’ve had low body temp. for 20 years or more and many, many other symptoms, that never really improved. When I read about Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome, I knew this was what I had been looking for all of these years, and I have not been disappointed. It really works and I am so GRATEFUL to Dr. Wilson for this amazing discovery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- The Books
…If you order the materials from the foundation, the Grand Slam is an absolute must. I would be lost without the patient book and the doctor’s manual. All of the information is vital. All of it. You will see yourself all through the patient’s book. One book takes up where the other leaves off. If you don’t have the doctor’s manual you will be having to ask many questions that are answered in the manual. How to take care of yourself and what to expect from a physician included. You’ll know if things are being done according to the protocol. You’ll know what to do when certain symptoms occur, etc. Also, the “why’s” of the treatment are in there. It is a must for understanding Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome. And it is a good buy! The best money you will ever spend if you have Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome, or to find out if you do! That’s for sure!
Luck of the Irish to you!

She is feeling energetic again, and is starting to fill out like a normal 7 year old (8 on Saturday) should. She no longer has that sickly, skinny look! I am so thankful for this treatment – she’s been sick for so long, I have been afraid to believe it was true. It is now becoming obvious to others, and people are commenting on how much better her color is, and how much better she looks. Thank-you so much Dr. Wilson, for this treatment protocol, and for taking chances. Now if it would only start working for me … of course, a large source of my stress has just been eliminated!!!! That should help some!!
Thanks again, Apryl

- Cold Hands and Feet
… The benefits I am reaping already make the treatment worth it. I have slept with an electric blanket for 10 years now, summer and winter. I freeze my husband when I touch him with my hands or feet. He literally jumps. My skin is so dry I can’t stand it. (These are a few on the list!) But 8 or 9 days on T3 and my arms are less dry, my hands and feet aren’t cold as often, and I have not turned my electric blanket on for 1 full week! These small improvements are enough to make me tear up. There have been about three times lately that when my precious husband held my hand he said, “Wow, your hand isn’t freezing!” Now, they do still freeze, but less often. I have not “arrived” yet. But I will. And once I do I don’t care if I have to redo some of this in the future, it is all well worth the effort! My average temp yesterday was 98.2, up from the range of 96 and 97. Unbelievable. Blue
And yes, I follow the protocol.

…Don’t worry about your hair. Mine fell out in Dec 97/Jan 98. I ended up cutting off the few little wisps that stuck around, just cause I’d rather be totally bald, than have those silly looking things. Here it is, just over a year later, and I now have thick, wavy, shoulder length hair. At the time, my doctor had no idea why my hair fell out, he thought it was stress. Now, of course, we know it’s another of the wonderful symptoms of Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome. Just try not to stress about it. Buy a bunch of scarves to cover up, if you like, and wait it out. If you’re anything like me, your hair will come back thicker than ever before. Keep the faith.
… My doc couldn’t stress enough the importance of timing in my meds. He told me that if I was off by as little as three minutes, I could screw up the whole shebang. What I did to help me, was actually buy a pill box with a double timer on it. Every 12 hours the thing would beep and remind me to take a pill. Other people looked at me strangely, but I was used to that after monitoring my temp for so long. LOL As of now, my doctor has pronounced me cured. My temperature has been steady at 98.6 for several weeks. I feel great. It’s amazing that after 15 years of taking Synthroid, the solution could be so simple.
Stick with it. It’s worth it, and you’ll be amazed at how good you can feel.

“If you don’t study the Manual you are being treated in ignorance” – Belinda
Issue covered in the account below:
- The Books
… There are a lot of doctor’s out there with their own agenda. But that is in all areas, not just Wilson’s Thyroid Syndrome. Just be careful. Know you are in control. Be educated about your body and the medical info surrounding treatment offered. As you know, it is up to you whether or not you accept a doctor or his treatment.
… you need to read through the doctor’s manual first. You will learn soooooooo much you will be amazed. The back of the manual is the nitty-gritty of treatments (resist skipping to the back). You need to STUDY the whole manual. Also the patient’s book! The patient’s book helps you understand the syndrome more fully than not having it, and helps you solidify your symptoms, philosophy, and stand on Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome. The manual is in-depth and absolutely necessary. Once reading these you will have many questions of your own to ask.
As for the doctor, you definitely want to know his philosophy on Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome. Does he follow exactly the protocol laid out by Dr. Wilson? Does he use the T3 recommended (you will learn what kind from the book)? I don’t believe anyone can be confident of their treatment or progress if they do not read the doctor’s manual and patient’s book. If you don’t study the manual you are being treated in ignorance – what good does that do you. Those days are looooong gone. Believe me though, you will have many questions; ask them.
I recently interviewed a doc over the phone and decided, right away, not to see him. He did not follow the protocol and was disappointed in the results (no wonder). He also did not really even believe there was such a thing as Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome. You can find out a lot over the phone and not have to hand over your hard earned money for a disappointing appointment. And don’t be intimidated. My doc is much taller than me and has an arrogant air about him. Seems like he doesn’t have time for questions let alone being in the room with you. Of course I saw this as a challenge. I politely melted the shell away and he is the greatest person under there. I commented that he must have ‘caught’ something in medical school. He said they had given him a lobotomy. Teehee.
He had never heard of Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome before and is thrilled. He has written me a letter and called on Sunday night to discuss it further. He even wrote my primary care physician to inform him of Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome! So don’t be afraid to approach a physician that does not treat Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome. The manual is all they need to treat you, IF THEY STUDY IT. So you have to study it to be aware of errors and/or offer ‘suggestions’. Isn’t it exciting to see there is treatment out there to help us!!!
Thanks to Dr. Wilson…
Sincerely, Blue

I started feeling and sleeping better almost immediately when I started the program. I did have some symptoms towards the end of my first cycle, including some headaches and dizziness. At that point I started weaning off the T3 until the symptoms disappeared. Once I got down to a level where I felt good, I held there for about a week. My temperature stabilized at 98.6, I felt wonderful, a skin rash I had been suffering with for years started to clear up. It’s been just amazing the difference in my life. In 15 years I never thought I could feel this good.

… I know it sounds too good to be true but it is true. …I am completing my first cycle and am amazed at the differences T3 has made in my life. Truly. Muscle aches, acne, blah blah blah, has all improved. All of my complaints have improved (I have/had about 38 of the 60 symptoms listed in the book The Miracle of Feeling Well). Many have vanished! The ringing in my ears is completely gone. My husband has been on T3 for just over one week and the ringing in his ears is 90% gone. I mean, 90% of the time he doesn’t have it anymore. As opposed to constant ringing. My temp is running low as I slowly wean and I can see the symptoms are re-appearing but at a MUCH reduced severity compared to when my temp averages were up. This is the ticket!

… I just have to share this message. I got out my list of original symptoms to see what has changed since I’ve been on T3 for 14 days now. There were so many symptoms I knew I needed to look at the list and think it through.
Fatigue is less and less. Insomnia is not as bad. Not as irritable. Lost 3 pounds. Skin not as dry on arms. Motivation is increasing. Concentration is improved. Irritable bowel syndrome has stopped being a ‘pain’. Sinus drainage clears up off and on, instead of being constant. Don’t get sleepy during the day as often. My hands have stopped shaking. Improved energy level. My arms and hands have stopped falling asleep! No more tingling in the arms, hands and fingers! My hands and feet have not been freezing cold for about 1 week now. Haven’t used the electric blanket in over 1 week! (It has been my companion for 10 years! along with a heating pad for my feet.) Ringing in my ears less often. Fewer muscle aches. Much less joint pain. Memory is improving (my kids comment on this one). Don’t feel tired after eating a meal.
Isn’t this amazing! When you don’t feel bad, you don’t sit and think about what you’re missing… I didn’t realize just how much I was improved until I looked at my list. I still do have symptoms and my temp is not up to 98.6 yet… but what encouragement! …Blue

…My hair was thinning for about 6 months before it finally gave up and just fell out all together. I would lose four or five handfuls in the shower every morning. It would come out in clumps when I brushed my hair. I really noticed it when my part kept getting wider and wider. It was extremely stressful, especially since I had always prided myself on my thick, wavy hair. Once I cut it all off and started on the T3 therapy, plus the change to a high protein/low carb diet, it started growing like crazy. I covered up with bandanas for about 3 months (I had one to match every outfit! :o)) until my friends finally convinced me I looked fine. Once it started growing back, it came in thick. Really thick. And it’s growing pretty fast too. Less than a year after being totally bald, my hair was just reaching my shoulders. It’s so thick my friends are jealous.

When I heard of Wilson’s [Thyroid] Syndrome Treatment Center I was, for the first time in many years, optimistic that someone might have discovered the key to helping me feel like life was worth living. I was frustrated. Here I was, a registered nurse with some record of success in helping others to get well and I couldn’t find a way to get help for myself. The morning “ache all over feeling,” headaches, more and more pronounced fatigue and trouble focusing lasted longer and longer each day and now encompassed most days. I was difficult to arouse by my door bell, telephone, or any outside stimuli. The increasing signs that my body wasn’t functioning well (increased infections, skin problems, neurological problems, mental problems) were evident. It seemed to me that something was terribly wrong with my metabolism, but no physician could find a test to substantiate that, and I was becoming depressed. I had no doubt that my primary physician and the other specialists in a large clinic in Wisconsin were competent. I was afforded all the lab tests and evaluations they knew to pursue.
When the dermatologist suggested a psychological basis and the psychologist whom I had personally known agreed, it still seemed physiological, I felt cornered. I knew I practiced the best of health habits. Those I practiced worked well for my public health nursing clients, but they didn’t help me. Still, I knew somewhere there was a physician, who could find the key, so that when I learned of Dr. Wilson I saw hope.
Still I arrived at Wilson’s [Thyroid] Syndrome Treatment Center with a fair amount of skepticism. His explanation of Wilson’s [Thyroid] Syndrome made sense and his explanation of its cause and the way it could be corrected sounded promising. About everything he described I found to be true. I was amazed to find my average body temperature was so much below normal. I was likewise amazed when my troublesome symptoms decreased as my average temperature increased. I was so prepared not to believe what I heard that I couldn’t accept at first that I felt much better within a week after I started the treatment plan. When I continued to feel better, when my friends commented on how much better I seemed, and when I found myself about to take on more activities and enjoyed them, I was convinced the course of treatment was working for me.
My problem did seem to start over 10 years ago. I had changed nursing positions, was taking university classes, and recovering from alcohol addiction. Additionally, we started to build a new house “hammer and nails.” We were preparing for our daughter’s wedding and I was asked to run for a local elected office, which I did. When my elderly mother became unable to care for herself and came to live with us, and this necessitated my taking over also more of her business and the farm business, I began to feel constantly fatigued and achy. Reasoning that I was spread too thin, I cut out my job and classes, which helped a little.
A few years later my elected official position increased in demands with more committee responsibilities and statewide organizations; and my mother-in-law, no longer able to care for herself, came to live with us for a while. I became more tired, achy, had more difficulty focusing on arising, and then new health problems came (Bell’s palsy, shingles, sinus and dental infections, which did not respond well to treatment, atypical skin problems, and increased irritability). I was able to cope because I organized so as to use the time when I felt good effectively, and I had the support of many good friends and colleagues.
When my husband retired about 3 years back, I found organizing much more difficult, especially when I was trying to sandwich in escalating family farm operations in another state in between my own elected office responsibilities, and at the same time get our house ready for sale, seek a new house in another state, and get ready to move. My symptoms were becoming so pronounced that by the time we moved, I often had trouble being aroused in the morning. When I did get up, I felt terrible most of the time.
After we moved, my system seemed to go down and stay down. I overslept often. I ached so much and was so tired I didn’t enjoy doing anything. I was frightened and a little depressed and had 23 of the some 30 problems sometimes seen in Wilson’s [Thyroid] Syndrome when happily I heard about Dr. Wilson. I wish I had heard about Wilson’s [Thyroid] Syndrome treatment earlier because I was becoming so frustrated and angry with my family for their “parameddling” suggestions which didn’t help, and their lack of sympathy, that our relations have become severely strained. While I do need to and have the strength to work these feelings through, I’m not sure I will ever have a close relationship with some of them again. But the important thing is that I feel so much better that I can get involved with fun activities with friends. Many of my friends and colleagues, now that I have been open about my successful treatment, have shared that they, a family member or a friend, have suffered similar mysterious symptoms and have asked for more information about Wilson’s [Thyroid] Syndrome. I am glad to give them the information and recommend Dr. Wilson. I hope they too can get help because “walking through life with what seems to be the weight of the world on your shoulders is not really living at all.”

My hair came out, and every one of my fingernails and toenails came off.

As a nurse and psychotherapist, I have given considerable time, attention, and thought to this common problem. Having tried traditional medicine through endocrinologists who consistently said my tests were within the normal limits and that they couldn’t help me, and in many alternative therapies, I was convinced that my metabolism was unique. I had too many symptoms not to have a problem. After having sought answers through anything and everything, I finally encountered Dr. Wilson and his enlightened strategy. I now know there is hope and help. Before then I was depressed, thinking that hope and help didn’t exist for me. I was and still am very relieved that there is a biochemical treatment for this life-sapping condition. My hope for physicians and patients is that physicians open their minds to different points of view because that’s where most of the answers lie. I’m just thankful that I had the opportunity to be at the right place at the right time with an open mind. Dr. Wilson’s help has unlocked the cage, that for me, was stealing my life. Now that I’m not so consumed with the problem, I can go on with my life’s mission.
Thank you again Dr. Wilson.

Hello everyone…….I am excited, and hopefully not overly optimistic, but I wanted to share with all of you my results thus far. I am on my 9th day of T-3, of which the last 5 have been at 15 mcg. This is my first cycle. My daily temp averages are around 98.2 with my lowest at 97.8 and my highest at 98.4.
Today, for the first time in probably over two years, I worked in my garden, pruned, weeded, crawled around on my hands and knees pulling out old vines. And guess what – – I’M NOT TIRED! In the past, even a short, moderate amount of yard work put me back in the house for a 2 hour rest/nap.
Dr. Wilson – if this continues to improve my strength as it has in just 9 days, you deserve some sort of a world-wide award for pursuit of truth in medicine. If I were you, I’d feel quite proud of myself for helping so many people learn how to help themselves. This truly gives me a new lease on life.

When my temperature was taken and registered below normal, I remember saying to the nurse, “That’s O.K., It’s always low.” Little did I realize at the time how important that fact would prove to be.
Needless to say, you know the rest of the story. I began taking the medication and remarkably, within 3 days, I began to feel much better.

I am a 40-year-old housewife. I have been seeing Dr. Wilson for one year and continue to go to him for treatment for Wilson’s [Thyroid] Syndrome. Prior to learning about Dr. Wilson I was suffering from the following symptoms: migraine headaches for over 20 years, constipation, fatigue, dry skin, fluid retention, dry hair, brittle, peeling and splitting soft nails, easy bruising, lack of sweating, allergies, frequent colds, heat and cold intolerance, itchiness, decreased hair and nail growth, cold hands and feet, slow wound healing, ringing of the ears, and a continuous low body temperature (97.1 degrees).
I consulted several different doctors: a family practitioner, an endocrinologist, an internal medicine specialist, a neurologist, and an ear-nose-throat specialist for all my symptoms listed above. I had to take blood test after blood test, complete physicals, upper and lower GI series, x-rays, EEG, EKG, CAT scan, RAST, pollen and food allergy testing. All the tests that were performed came back negative except for the allergy test. However, I was taking the allergy serum shots for pollen and food allergies for approximately 1 1/2 years when I discontinued the treatment because it was not helping me and the costs were very expensive. I had suffered for so long (20 years) with migraine headaches that I had the doctor admit me to the hospital and run the necessary tests and x-rays to be sure that I did not have a tumor or blood clot on the brain. I had gone to the neurologist in 1976 and 1977, and was admitted again to the hospital by a different neurologist in 1977 and had more tests done in 1978 by another neurologist. All the tests came back negative and the doctor could only prescribe Cafergot medication to take prior to the onset of the migraine headaches. The medication never worked and I continued to suffer until I went to Dr. Wilson for treatment in April of 1990.
I could not understand why none of the doctors could find anything wrong. I was angry with the medical profession because they could not help me from my suffering and pain. I did not know where to turn and it affected my life with my family and my work. I was constantly sick with migraines, colds, fatigue, and no energy to do anything or go anywhere with my family.
I missed a lot of time off work because of my migraines and being sick with colds. The job was very stressful and I started to have chest pains, stomach pains, and nausea. The more work that was put on me, the more stress I carried around with me, which, in turn, affected my health. Gradually my body’s health went down and stayed down. I would continue to have new symptoms causing me to worry more, adding stress which only made the symptoms worse.
I can remember laying on the couch with a migraine headache in March of 1990 when I saw the information on television about Wilson’s [Thyroid] Syndrome. I took the number down, discussed it with my husband, then contacted Dr. Wilson’s office for a consultation. At that time it was explained what Wilson’s [Thyroid] Syndrome is and how it affects your health, what the symptoms are, and how your nationality may be connected to Wilson’s [Thyroid] Syndrome. I was intrigued since it was pointed out at that time to me, before I ever mentioned my nationality, that the syndrome seems to be more common in patients whose ancestors survived famine (such as Irish, Russian). They seem to get the syndrome more easily with the most prone combination being Irish, part Indian. I had all the symptoms and the nationality Irish and Indian going for me. So I felt that he may be able to help me, and understood how much suffering and pain I was in and had been for practically all my life.
After starting treatment, I noticed some slight changes for the better and as my temperature continued to become normal, my migraines went completely away. (I had been to doctors for migraine headaches for 20 years and was put on Cafergot, pain pills, etc., but nothing helped.) I have less bruising, less fatigue, less constipation, and less fluid retention. I am still under Dr. Wilson’s care and will remain so because his treatment is helping me to live my life again. What I found so amazing is that when the body temperature runs below 98.6 some of the symptoms that were gone, come back. When I am put under a lot stress that causes my temperature to become abnormal and drop below 98.6, it takes about a week to get the system back to normal again and then I notice my symptoms disappearing. I have never felt this good in my life. I recommend the treatment for just migraines alone.

Thanks, Dr. Wilson.

The most serious of my physical complaints were a general fatigue/depression, severe indigestion/dyspepsia/flatus, and night sweats. I also suffered from dry itchy skin, brittle hair and nails, constipation, frequent respiratory infections, frequent and severe migraine type headaches, debilitating pain in my feet, ankles, and finger joints, and occasionally, a tender abdomen “in the upper right quadrant.” Frequently I found bruises on my extremities and could not relate them to any apparent injuries. I was also experiencing difficulty with memory, particularly when I was under job stress. Often I would read the same paragraph two to three times unable to concentrate. I was constantly making long lists to be certain not to forget a project of commitment. This was particularly disconcerting due to the high level of job functioning required in my position as vice president of operations of a 579 bed community hospital. In the past two years I also became irritated by happenings that previously were tolerated. It was noticed by my husband and especially my secretary.
When my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer in early 1990, the stresses were exacerbated and I became less able to cope due to the additional responsibilities of her care. It seemed that my personal stress level at work, my general feeling of “ill health,” and my mother’s illness were too much. I resigned my job which I probably would not have done at that time if I had been better able to cope.
As I learn more about this disorder, I can recognize the beginning of the symptoms 20 years earlier. At age 30, after having 4 children in 6 1/2 years, relocating 5 times in 8 years, I was diagnosed by a rural doctor as having a mild thyroid condition. He did not use blood tests but took my oral temperature, blood pressure, and checked knee jerk reflex. My blood pressure/temperature were low and reflexes sluggish. At that time, I was placed on a small amount of thyroid even though I was about 10 to 15 pounds over normal desired weight, I quickly lost weight and felt good. We relocated, however, in 12 months and I was not able to have the prescription renewed. Each MD after that stated that I did not have a thyroid deficiency.
In 1976, I had a total hysterectomy with a traumatic post surgical wound infection. Within several weeks, I returned to my high pressure job, but it seemed that I began to feel progressively worse. Even though I was an excellent job performer, my heart was no longer in my work. My weight began to increase 5 to 6 pounds per year; I noticed that my oral temperature was about 1 degree below normal. On visits to the physician, I would explain my symptoms and state that I had previously taken thyroid. The physician would complete an EKG and blood chemistry profile and tell me that I was very healthy. Once I even visited a psychologist who also informed me that except for mild depression due to my job stress, I was very healthy even mentally.
Last fall was the first time I recognized that my symptoms were possibly related. I scheduled a visit with Dr. Wilson. I could hardly believe it. It became so obvious. I have been under treatment for 3 to 4 months. My body temperature is not yet totally stabilized, but I feel like a new person. The joint pains have completely disappeared. I started a 1,200 calorie diet 5 weeks ago and I’m losing about 2 1/2 pounds per week with no difficulty. The fatigue and depression have been eliminated. My nails and hair are growing back. My nails are also stronger. The chest pains, indigestion/ dyspepsia/flatus are gone. My quality of life has improved a 100 percent and my husband and I have even started playing golf and other recreational activities together that we have not done in years. How I wish that 20 years ago this had been diagnosed. Even 5 years ago would have been a blessing.
I have recognized that other members of my family may also be suffering from the same disorder. And I’m looking forward to sharing my changed life with them in hopes that they also can be helped. At age 51, I lost 15 to 20 years of quality of life. I hope that others will not have to do the same. It is my desire that physicians be able to recognize this disorder and aid the millions of people suffering from it.

“If the protocol is not followed exactly, then the patient has no right to claim that the protocol failed” – Gail
Issues covered in the account below:
- Treatment
- Migraines
…From the information here… from the Books, and from other places on the Web, I have read that people who follow the Protocol BY THE BOOK with no variations have an extremely high rate of improved quality of life. If the Protocol is not followed exactly, then the patient has no right to claim that the Protocol failed. It is the variant approach that failed, not the Protocol. Also, please remember that this Protocol is classified a “therapeutic trial”. It is not a standard, traditional medicine approach to thyroid dysfunction. And again, by definition of “therapeutic trial”, the Protocol must be followed exactly.
…many stories of people who have encountered doctors who claim to treat Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome, but are not following the Protocol. There are many doctors out there who think they can improve on the wheel. I have no doubt that some of their patients get well. But if the people who chose to participate … are any indication, most of these variations fail in both the short and long term.
One final thought, the Protocol is NOT a cure. It is a treatment. Nowhere in the literature does it state that once you complete the Protocol you will never need treatment for thyroid problems again. As a matter of fact, the Doctor’s Manual states that when exposed to stress in the future, you may need a brief repeat of the Protocol. There is one example that sticks in my memory of a woman who routinely use small dosages of compounded T3 when doing presentations at work. Another example states that the woman remained on a very low dosage of T3 after having completed the Protocol. These are examples of patients who succeeded in rebalancing/resetting the function of their thyroid, but found it necessary to supplement nature even after completing the Protocol.
For me, personally, the Protocol has given me a new lease on life. If the results turn out to be short-lived, I don’t care. The benefits to my current quality of life are priceless. You have nothing to lose and much to gain by trying the Protocol BY THE BOOK.
Healthy futures for all of us!

… I highly recommend that you WAIT until you have the D.M. and that you read it thoroughly BEFORE you take even one capsule. … read the manual. This is very important. Please wait and take the time to read it. And then, read it again after you begin the protocol. Don’t skip anything. Read the case studies carefully. They may not make sense the first time, but they will when you have read the manual and go back and read them again. After you have read the manual, go back and re-read the section on

Reading the Doctor’s Manual and understanding the protocol are important if you want to “do it right” and succeed. Especially if your Doctor is a novice with Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome
Good Luck. ~Gail

“Start on the Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome protocol and get a healthier mouth!” – Ginger
Issues covered in the account below:
- Healthier gums
… I have been on the Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome protocol for six months now, and just went to get my teeth cleaned. Usually I have terrible tartar buildup, and my gums are not all that healthy. The dental hygienist was very impressed with the state of my mouth. My gums were much healthier this time. After discussing Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome with her, she thought the Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome protocol was improving my immune system, which resulted in healthier gums. I mentioned this to my doctor at today’s appointment, and he concurred. He said that the gums regenerate very quickly, and immune problems show up there quickly, as well as improvements in the immune system… Also, the hygienist did not complain about my tartar buildup, so I’m quite sure that was greatly improved as well. So I say, start on the Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome protocol and get a healthier mouth! :^)

I will start again on the therapy in a few days to see if I can get my temps up some more. … It helped.

…I just started therapy on last Thursday. I am pleased to report I am feeling great! I can’t remember sleeping this well in years. My temperature due to the Armour I was taking has finally become stable. Perhaps a little low still but not fluctuating near as much as it was. I have more energy and enthusiasm then I have had in a long time. I am starting to feel like I don’t know what to do with myself. I can’t believe such a tiny pill can make such a huge difference.
Thank you very much, Dr. Wilson.

I wish I could tell you what just these two improvements have done for my life.

“While not perfection, this is consistently the best I’ve felt and functioned in many years” – Jay Carlberg
Issues covered in the account below:
- Side effects
…I decided it’s time to post my success since there’s been enough time to convince me it is here to stay.
I started my first trial about 2 mos. ago. Only got to 37.5 mcg. and decided to wean because of unacceptable side effects (hyper… couldn’t sleep, heart palpitations, flu-like feeling). As I weaned down, my temp. hit 98.6 at 15 mcg. I stayed there and felt great for 2 weeks before completely weaning.
Just as I was finishing that cycle, my temp. slipped and I felt much like before treatment. On the second cycle I only got to 22.5 mcg. and had to drop back to 15 mcg. where, again, my temp. locked in at 98.6. This all had me confused and didn’t seem to follow the pattern I’d read about.
After some dosage experimentation, much reading, and analyzing my self-made charts/graphs from previous weeks, it became evident that I am hypothyroid (low) in addition to having Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome. The Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome treatment brought me back into the arena of Life, but I now must use varying doses of T3 to supplement my own thyroid production and keep my temp. at the right level. (15 mcg. daytime, 7.5 evening… plus 12.5 mcg. T4 with each dose)
While not perfection, this is consistently the best I’ve felt and functioned in many years. I am much more upbeat and positive, can do a great deal more physically (yard work, exercise, etc.), have a much clearer mental faculty, and generally feel like I can deal with life again. I’ve even lost 4 lbs. in the past 4 weeks… without changing my eating habits!!
Admittedly, I had serious doubts about the Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome therapy along the way. But with nowhere else to turn, I stuck with it and the protocol proved itself….. and, that Dr. Wilson is the Real McCoy. My hat is off to you, sir.
To God I am grateful for people like Dr. Wilson, for the Internet, and for all forms of Revealed/Discovered Truth which assist people like me in having more meaningful and productive lives, again or for the first time.
Sincerely,
Jay Carlberg

The first time I heard the TV information about Wilson’s [Thyroid] Syndrome, my ears perked up. They were all there, all the symptoms I had been complaining about for years. The only thing that was missing was my name. I was skeptical. The axiom, “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is,” came to mind. Still I couldn’t help but wonder could it be true? Still I did nothing about it. Hadn’t all the doctors I had been to for years told me that nothing was wrong with my thyroid? It always tested in normal range, to the low side but still normal. I was told I needed to lose the fat, be less sedentary, and my blood pressure would come down along with the cholesterol and triglycerides, and my constant fatigue would vanish. That was all well and good, but how was I to accomplish it when I was just too utterly exhausted to drag myself out of the chair?
The decision to see Dr. Wilson came after my daughter, Cathy, showed me a brochure about Wilson’s [Thyroid] Syndrome. She informed me that several women in her office, including a mutual friend, were getting this treatment and they were all having great results. I discussed with our mutual friend the results she was realizing from the treatment. She was very pleased and I was very impressed.
I made an appointment with Dr. Wilson. After a number of lab tests, filling out five pages of medical history, and having a physical, I was ready for an evaluation. Dr. Wilson said that my symptoms and my medical history certainly suggested a depressed metabolism. But because of my high blood pressure, he was reluctant to start me on the treatment. After insisting on close monitoring, he agreed to take me as a patient. One of the first benefits I noticed after beginning to take T3, was my improved sleep patterns. Instead of waking a dozen or more times during the night (even though going right back to sleep), I was sleeping through the night and awakening in the morning more rested and refreshed. Soon after, I became aware of a decrease in the chronic fatigue with which I had been beleaguered for years. It was so good not to feel totally exhausted all the time. For a decade or more, I felt as if there were heavy balls and chains attached to my arms and legs as I tried to move around. Finally, someone had found the key to unlock them. The next thing I became conscious of was a small budding and growing energy level. It had been so long since I had had any energy that it was hard to recognize at first.
Dr. Wilson had asked me on my first visit, “If this treatment could only accomplish one thing, what would you want it to be?” My answer, “To feel good and have the energy of a normal person.” He asked me for an assessment of my perception of my energy level compared to a “normal person.” I replied, “About 25 percent.” At this writing I perceive my energy level to be about 90 percent of normal and still growing. What a blessing.
After several months of treatment when I began feeling much better, Dr. Wilson suggested that it was time to chose a good nutritional diet and begin an exercise program to promote weight loss. I had tried for years to diet, but even if a few pounds came off, they seemed to come right back with a few more for company. And when I tried to exercise, lethargy, that was my constant companion, soon canceled that out. But this time it worked. I had enough energy to at least begin exercising regularly and with the diet the weight began to come off. As the weight came off, I was able to increase my exercise. As I increased my exercise, more weight came off and my energy level continued to rise. It’s amazing, but I have become hooked on exercise – me, the original couch potato. Three to five times a week, I walk 4 miles exercising my arms with 2 pound weights as I walk. Also I exercise 45 minutes or more every day. In addition, I have organized and run a weight control support group at my church once a week. Things are looking up. Friends and acquaintances, especially those who haven’t seen me in several months keep remarking, “You look marvelous, you look 25 years younger.” That’s good to hear, but what is really great is that I feel 40 years younger. Oh I forgot to say, I’ll be 62 in August and haven’t felt this good since my early 20’s.
Dr. Wilson suggested that I might enjoy decreased fatigue when I began treatment. There were some things though, that he forgot to mention. The improved elasticity and tone of my complexion, the loss of the “turkey waddle” from my neck, the addition of body to my hair (perms take better and last longer and sets last to the next shampoo).
My general health is much improved. There is more resistance to illness. Colds which have plagued me all my life come less often and are less severe. Also they are not progressing to sinus and ear infections or bronchitis as they have for the past several years. My blood pressure which was dangerously high (at one point 210 over 110) came down to the point where my medication for it had to be cut in half. Dr. Wilson suspects that I may be able to go off the blood pressure medicine completely.
When I realize just how much help I have received with this treatment and how much better I feel and look it seems almost miraculous and the solution was so simple. I keep trying to spread the news to others who are suffering as I did for so long; not sick, just half dead: there is help out there.

(Not sure about that.) … I think it is seriously underutilized. It is just brilliant. I am sure Dr Wilson would not mind if you copied it and gave it to several doctors. Let’s face, even if we have read the book and the manual, we can’t explain the syndrome to doctors like Dr Wilson can. Most of us are trying to explain, to medical specialists a medical condition we don’t understand. No wonder we get some rebuffs. Dr Wilson has done the work for us lets thank him and use it. …

That sensation is most unpleasant and occasionally made me feel like I couldn’t swallow correctly. …. I haven’t had that sensation in over a month now–since the start of using T3. I hope to never feel that way again. If you ask most doctors, they will tell you it is anxiety. I kept asking until I went to a Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome treating doctor and she said, “Let’s try the T3 and see what happens.” What happened is most of my symptoms went away. Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome Therapy is the refreshing rain that falls on our lives after years of drought. I had been ill for 20 years until I did this therapy. I have only used one cycle of T3 and plan to start another after my next period to see if I can get just a little more improvement. But the changes in my life and my outlook are simply too wonderful for words… I am growing, branching out, blossoming. :)
A girlfriend was in my home to visit yesterday and remarked on my good spirits and energy. She commented that the treatment really had made a difference. She noticed that my home is coming under control too…Less piles here and there, dishes done, carpets vacuumed, curtains hung after months of no curtains on part of the windows. I showed her my new bedroom set–lovely florals and stripes and so appealing. I shopped for months without being able to find one I could decide on. I was afraid to make a choice. I had become afraid to make any decisions at all because my thinking was so foggy.
In the last few weeks I have begun to reclaim my life. In this last week I realized that I was feeling so optimistic with everything for no particular reason except that I feel healthy. I feel so light inside now, physically light and emotionally light.
… I have filled my days with the things I had once given up on. Things like going for walks and playing sports with the kids, brisk gardening and just sitting out in the yard to enjoy nature. When I was so ill, I couldn’t sit peacefully and enjoy the world because I felt so heavy inside. Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome kidnapped my life, but T3 therapy ransomed that life and gave it back to me to live.
Now I have plans for a future…plans like having another child or two or? Plans to do family things we could never do before. Plans to forge ahead with all the things I wanted to accomplish in my life.
I feel a certain desire to come here and help if I can, for I know that I owe other people that help which I was given …. My prayer is that all of the people who are here seeking to reclaim their health will be walking in my shoes very soon. Folks, these are new shoes for me, but they fit just right and feel oh, so comfortable. You will love them!
And now, I really have to go. There is research that I am wanting to get done this week for the book I am writing. I can scarcely believe it! I am finally writing a book! (With plans for 2 others!)
Blessings of health and happiness,
Kim

Dr. Wilson:
Thank you … Although I have felt a noticeable increase in energy since starting T3 therapy, I have been reluctant to intensify my exercise program. When prescribing T3 for me, my naturopath told me it was best to “baby” myself during the treatment, thus giving the T3 a greater chance for success. I began weaning off my second cycle today after capturing my temperature at 15 µg this time, so I would say the treatment has been a success. Jane Fonda, here I come! I’m sure the constant accolades you receive must become tiresome but I’d just like to add my thanks for what your research has done for me and so many others.

…I was very skeptical when my wife ran across this site. I was pronounced dead when I was two years old and my parents were again told that there was no hope for me to live when I was four. I was extremely pampered to try to avoid major brain damage. Apart from that I grew up as any other ornery kid with the other normal kid injuries. I spent three years in the Army during Nam. Still yet I was not through with life’s little traumas. About 5 or 6 years ago I was at a point in my life that the doctors wanted to cut everything out of me in surgery. I was grossly misdiagnosed with a multitude of symptoms. One doctor finally came forward and suggested my multitude of problems was psychological. I then underwent a year of treatment (outpatient) in a VA hospital and spent the next three years on meds. Many of the symptoms did subside but never fully went away.
Now I am on the downward dosage of my first cycle. I spent about two weeks on the 67.5 as I was coming down. I am now at 22.5 on my T-3. … my previous temps ran in the 96 to low 97 range. A 98 reading meant that I had a fever. The past several days I have been consistently in the 98’s. The past two days I have been within .2 of 98.6 on every reading. I have not taken any other meds since I started on T-3 and do not have the symptoms and problems I had before.
God willing, I will capture on my first cycle. If not, I know it has made a difference and I will go to cycle two. My advice? Get all the books and information and follow Dr Wilson’s instructions religiously. …

…I just wanted to write about my exciting progress, hopefully to encourage anyone who may need it.
I am cycling down and almost off my 2nd cycle. I began my first cycle about the beginning of November. I am feeling so great. I used to have pain in my feet every morning when I got out of bed and put my feet on the floor that would last about half an hour. I no longer have that. My skin on my face has cleared up. My scalp is no longer scaly, flaky and red. I don’t feel the necessity for a 3 hour nap everyday after lunch – even when I don’t sleep well the night before. I’m able to recall names of people much more quickly and seem to have a handle on accomplishing things. Best of all (and hopefully without sounding x-rated), my husband of 18 years and I are having the best sex.
I have been looking for this help for over 10 years and I want to thank you, Dr. Wilson, from the bottom of my heart. God bless you and all who work with you.

Best wishes to everyone!

“Almost instantly after beginning treatment, both Clyde and I felt a sense of well being. I feel human” – Niki B.

- Insomnia
In 1986, our son was killed by a drunk driver, my father-in-law died and my father died, all within a year. I think the stress just did me in. I began a downward spiral which I attributed to mourning. My exhaustion worsened; my periods became irregular; I started gaining weight; my sex drive decreased; I woke with a headache every morning; I had heart palpitations, constipation, and my sleeping habits reversed. I couldn’t sleep, and as it progressed I couldn’t get out of bed. Some days it would take me 2 hours just to get the energy to get out of bed. But the problem with getting out of bed wasn’t lack of sleep. It was as if my life was drained out of me. I just didn’t care.
After our son had been dead 3 years, I began to wonder why I wasn’t getting better. I felt like this just wasn’t mourning. I thought perhaps that I was going through menopause. I saw my GYN. He said that I wasn’t going through menopause, but he did put me on hormones and said maybe they would help make my periods more regular. They didn’t. Things got worse. I stopped taking the pill.
My mother came for a visit. In her late 30’s she’d had a thyroid problem and it was removed. She looked at me and heard my problems and told me it sounded like her behavior when her thyroid went bad. So I went to see my general practitioner and he took one blood test and said nothing was wrong. I started becoming paranoid. My husband and I started yelling at each other, which was something we had never done in 25 years of marriage. I felt like everyone was against me. I wanted to run away.
In the meantime, my husband, Clyde, was going through a very similar problem. All his life he has been obese. When he was 5 years old the doctor put him on 3 grams of thyroid a day and that was the only time he wasn’t obese. When his folks moved they couldn’t get the prescription filled again so he was no longer on thyroid. After the year of death, Clyde started to get lethargic. He couldn’t work more than 4 to 5 hours a day without collapsing in front of the TV.
While he became more and more lethargic, I became a bundle of nervous irritation. I couldn’t sit in front of a TV without wanting to scream. Knowing Clyde needed thyroid medicine, I insisted he have his blood checked. The general practitioner said he didn’t have any problems and Clyde got worse. He started having terrible acid indigestion and a spastic colon. He got depressed and would stay that way for days. All this deeply affected our behavior towards each other and towards our lives. We couldn’t take any kind of stress without blowing up. Increasingly, I was thinking our marriage was over and that we should call it quits. Then I’d think, no, there is something wrong. My behavior isn’t logical and neither is Clyde’s.
We went to a health food type of doctor. He took our blood and took our temperatures. Our blood was fine, but Clyde’s temperature was 96.7 and mine 97.7. He explained how tricky thyroid tests were, and because of our low body temperatures, he assumed we had a problem and put us on an over-the-counter health food thyroid pill as well as other things to help Clyde’s digestion.
It seemed to help for a little while, then we started the downward spiral again. Clyde got really bad. I thought he was going to commit suicide, so I asked his mom, who also had no thyroid and was taking thyroid pills, if we could try her pills to see if they would help Clyde. When he began taking her thyroid, his spirits lifted. He began working again. He took the thyroid for two months, but then began to feel guilty about doing it without a doctor’s permission so he went off it for a month and then went into a doctor again to see about getting his own prescription. Again, the doctor said his blood was fine and Clyde began to slide downhill again.
About this time I began reading about chronic fatigue syndrome and wondered if this was my problem and what I had to look forward to for the rest of my life. I became more depressed. I knew I had to do something. I wanted to run away but couldn’t. Or maybe I could commit myself to an institution, but that would cost a fortune.
Then I went to an art show where I met another artist who, without any comments from me on my condition, told me about her problem and how Dr. Wilson had helped her and her son. Well, it sounded pretty weird and unbelievable. Almost instantly after beginning treatment, both Clyde and I felt a sense of well being. I stopped crying. I began to cope with life. Little things stopped overwhelming me. Clyde began working a full day without having to stop and rest. We stopped screaming at each other. Clyde’s temperature is now 98.6 and mine is 98.5. My sleep pattern is good, and I am able to cope with 8 hours of sleep, although 9 hours feels better. The whole thing was so miraculous that it was hard for us to believe.
Other things had seemed to help before, but eventually kind of wore off, and we would end up going downhill again. We wondered if this was just a temporary feeling of help. We felt the true test would be if we could get through our art show season without bone-deep exhaustion and depression. During the 3 months, we earn our year’s income. We work 80 hours a week with no days off, which is exhausting and very stressful. We’ve made it. We are tired, but we are feeling very well and there is no bone-tiredness and depression and we couldn’t have done it, if it weren’t for Dr. Wilson.
The interesting thing about taking the T3 is that it isn’t a high. I don’t feel like I’m on a drug. I still cry, but I can control the emotion. I still get angry, but it’s logical angry. I still get depressed, but it’s not severe and uncontrollable depression. I still have a full range of emotions good and bad. I feel human. What is even more wonderful is that I can say for the first time in my life that when I wake up in the morning, I’m excited about the day that lies ahead of me. Thank you Dr. Wilson. And so now when I meet someone who is complaining of all the same symptoms that I had for so many years, my heart goes out to them and I tell them about Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome. It seems like most people don’t believe me. It’s too good to be true. There really is an answer. I hope your book will help people to understand and believe that it is at least worth a try, then they can make their own decisions.

Once I weaned off my 2nd cycle I was scared but all has gone well and I even feel better than I did taking the T3 and I never would have believed this could ever happen. I have had some very major stress in my life this last month and all has been fine with my health. I was worried about that and was watching it very closely but my temp has stayed at 98.6 and I feel great and have been able to cope with it all.
… Thanks Dr Wilson you gave me a new life and it is so exciting. Nikki

“I don’t have any of the symptoms today” – Nikki
Issues covered in the account below:
- Anxiety / Panic attacks

… I know this is going to be long but there is so much to tell you…about the great success I have had with T3. I too had most of the symptoms. I think there were 9 that I didn’t have. I don’t have any of the symptoms today. Today I can say I am well and feeling wonderful, I have been off the T 3 now for almost a month. I too had debilitating anxiety, panic attacks and depression. Fatigue, migraines, weight gain, uncontrollable crying. You name it I had it. I was so bad that in Aug 97 I had to sell my business and stay home and try and find out what was wrong with me and try and get well. It took 6 months of Doctors and many tests (I really thought I was dying) to find out that everyone said I was fine.
Now if that is what fine is I can live without it. I began to wonder about my own sanity. Maybe I was going crazy. Finally I found the book, Prescription for Nutritional Healing, and there in little print was Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome. I called, got the web site and got online, and low and behold, there I was. I just knew this was for me. I copied everything I could, ordered the Grand Slam, and waited. When it arrived I read like a mad person and headed off to my wonderful Dr. She is an internist. Asked her to please read this. I think it is me and could we try it. She took it happily and 3 days later we were working together learning about T3. I started in March 98. My first cycle was up and down (my fault I didn’t follow the steps and take med on time. It is a MUST to do that) Even though I made some mistakes the first thing I noticed in the first 5 days was the panic and anxiety attacks were not happening as often.
By the 3rd week they were gone. My temp was still flexing so I weaned off and started over and this time I was going to follow the steps to the LETTER. . I did and I just kept getting better and better. I stayed on the T3 until the end of August and weaned off and have been off almost a month and I even feel better then I did on the medicine. It is wonderful to feel this way. I can’t ever remember feeling so good and energized. Also the weight is just coming off–never had that happen before. 20lbs now . I have always had a weight problem. I have been anywhere from 20 to 100 pounds over weight. Thank you Dr Wilson and my wonderful Dr for being open and trying something new. I forgot to tell you that on the first cycle I was taking 7.5 mcg twice a day and worked up to 22.5mcg twice a day. The second cycle I only needed to work up to 15 mcg twice a day to capture my temp and hold it there. I must admit if I needed to stay on the medicine the rest of my life to feel good I would do it. It has saved my life and sanity. I am looking forward to life and all the adventures and journeys that lay ahead for me now with excitement. If there is anything I can do to help anyone out there, please let me know.

…It is really too bad that all insurance doesn’t pay for the medicine. I was on T3 for several months (with wonderful results I am a new person because of this wonderful treatment) and my insurance company paid for it. My Doctor put down that I was being treated for a thyroid condition called Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome and I needed T 3. I have never had a problem. … I asked my doctor and she said that people haven’t heard about Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome enough yet to see it as a medical condition. If Doctors would start writing it down next to thyroid condition maybe people would start seeing it as a health problem. We as Wilson’s suffers must take on this task of informing the public and health professionals. There is such a condition as Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome and T-3 treatment. It works. …

Dear Dr. Wilson, Jean and Everyone,
… It WORKS. I am proof of that. I have now been off the medicine since the end of August and feeling wonderful. Everyday is very exciting and I can hardly wait to get up and get busy. My energy level is amazing.
My story is like everyone else. I had all symptoms except maybe 9 that are on the list and now I don’t have any of them. I believe that I have suffered from Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome most of my life to some degree and it just continued to get worse. My temp averaged 92 and 94 most of the time. I thought that was normal. All doctors said it was for women. I will try to condense this as much as I can. I continued to get so sick that I couldn’t function. Overwhelming anxiety/panic attacks, debilitating fatigue, loss of concentration and memory, blurred vision, headaches, foggy head, uncontrollable crying and the list goes on. I was having tests coming back that my immune system was not functioning properly.
I had been going to my internist for about a year and had made changes in my life and was eating better, taking supplements and thyroid medicine, and I would get short term results. We would up and add more supplements but each time the results would be shorter lived and symptoms would worsen. Finally in Aug 97 I sold my business to my partner and dedicated the next year to getting well. The first few months I hide in my house except to make the rounds to Doctors trying to find out what was wrong with me. I was so afraid to leave my house or drive my car. I just knew there was some kind of doom going to strike anytime. I began to think I was dying and had every test you can imagine. I had given up my business, was staying home and I wasn’t getting any better, in fact I was getting worse and Doctors were at their wits ends.
So I set about getting my life and affairs in order so my husband and family wouldn’t have to take care of things later. I was that way for several months when my best friend came to visit and pointed out that she was not going to continue to see me slowly dying because I believed in my mind I was. It was like a light went on and I thought, “She is right, I will die if I believe I am, and I will get healthy if I believe I can.” BUT whatever the outcome I am going to live my life differently. So I started on my journey of changing my attitude and set about rediscovering myself, my husband and family, and I found my inner soul and spirit. I am building memories for myself and family and finding my purpose in life.
Well, in March I discovered the Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome and ran, not walked, to my Dr with all the info and materials and said this is me, and 3 days later we started on our journey of T3 therapy together. We have learned together and made some mistakes but worked it out. I am well today after years of misery and Doctors who didn’t care and wouldn’t listen to me when I was telling them something is not right. Now because of my doctor being open to new ideas and us working together I have found the woman who has been hidden away.
The Most important advice I can give to anyone out there is, you MUST READ the manual and follow it to the LETTER. I screwed up on my first cycle with times, and my temp went up and down and I was miserable, so I decided that on the second cycle I was going to do it right. So I did, and low and behold, it worked. Within 3 days my temp was captured and I stayed on the dosage from April thru the middle of Aug. All my symptoms slowly disappeared by the 2nd and 3rd week.. I even lost weight (now have lost 25 pounds) since Aug and I am not really trying. My body is just working properly now. YIPPIE.
When I went to see my doctor in late Sept I had weaned off medicine and hadn’t seen her much during the summer she had been on vacation . She was amazed when she walked in and saw me. She couldn’t believe the person sitting there. She said my skin color was glowing and peachy, and my eyes sparkled and I had shorts and a T-shirt on. No sweats and wasn’t freezing when it was 85 outside. She is now treating several of her other patients, and she is a true believer in the T3 treatment.
I am feeling so wonderful that I have gone out and gotten a new job that I start next week (something different than what I had done before) Internet research work and very excited about it. I feel that I am a new person. This last year has been one of many ups and downs and lessons to learn. I feel there is a purpose and a gift in all this for me to share with others. So if I can help anyone out there please feel free to e-mail me and I will try to answer your questions. …
Thank You Doctor Wilson for all you have done.

There are no words to describe the relief and difference I have felt since undergoing the treatment for Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome. I not only feel better physically but also mentally.
Where do I begin with my story? When I first read of the treatment, I was more than skeptical, to say the least. When I read the list of symptoms, I thought, “Come on, be real—all these symptoms just from thyroid?” There were so many of my own symptoms listed there. But I had had good medical treatment and had been on Synthroid for years so surely I was just imagining these symptoms, wasn’t I? This was what I had been led to believe for over 30 years.
Now since I feel so much better, I look back on the years when I was so very, very tired while raising my children and waking each morning more tired than when I went to bed; of wanting to just pull the covers over my head and cry; of aching all over and having to concentrate so hard just to remember how to rise from a chair and not wanting anyone to know because you think it must all be in your mind.
You are only 25 years old and look great except your feet and hands swell and you are a little bit overweight since the children were born. No one knows you eat very little and must go on a starvation diet to lose any weight at all. You are able to keep a reasonably clean house and are active with your children’s school, and even take a full-time job so your husband can go back to college. Even though each day you must push yourself physically and just will yourself to keep going.
All the time you keep these things to yourself because you don’t want to complain, and your doctors cannot find anything physically wrong with you other than a low thyroid and you are receiving Synthroid for that, so that ought to fix what ails you. In fact, to go back a little bit, before the doctors gave me Synthroid for my problem, they sent me to the hospital for treatment with radioactive iodine, twice.
I look at many people now and wonder if they could be suffering form the same condition as I had, excusing it as stress, getting old, every day life, and a host of other titles.
I believe my condition was not ordinary, due to the fact that neither Dr. Wilson nor anyone else could determine just how much thyroid tissue had been destroyed because of the radioactive iodine. However, after I finally figured, “What do I have to lose?” I called and made the appointment to see Dr. Wilson. Upon my consultation visit with him, he told me all the symptoms I had felt over the years. I was impressed. Remember now, I was real skeptical, and as I said before, I had had good medical treatment over the years, but simply received either blank stares when I related my problem or the feeling of “Quiet, woman, I’m the doctor, there is nothing wrong with you,” or, “I’ll determine what is wrong with you.” Or as one very kind doctor admitted, he just couldn’t figure women out. So with a shrug of the shoulder, I went on my way and felt, “What’s the use, just live with it. Everyone must feel this way, they just don’t mention it.” And I wouldn’t either.
My grandmother, who was a very intelligent person, but very cranky and at times seemingly uncaring, had her thyroid removed at Ford Hospital in Detroit around the turn of the century. She never received any medication for her condition. Now I can see that perhaps her complaints were not unjustified, and her short temper was perhaps due to her physical condition of low thyroid or no thyroid. She is gone now. I wish I had been more understanding.
My normal body temperature has been 96.0 degrees for as long as I can remember. One doctor told me if my temperature went to 98.6 I should consider this as 2 degrees of fever and treat it that way.
I thought of myself as cool, calm, and collected, although I was on high blood pressure medicine. I guess I wasn’t too cool, calm, and collected. Dr. Wilson took me off Synthroid and started me on T3 medicine for approximately 10 months. After that time, he weaned me off all thyroid medication. I have been off both Synthroid and T3 for six months now, and the thyroid blood test done last week shows that both my T4 and TSH are within normal limits. After 30 years my thyroid gland is functioning properly on its own, and I’m doing much better now than when I was on thyroid medicine. I have lost 40 pounds and reduced my blood pressure medicine by 1/2. I have kept the 40 pounds off for the last six months with little or no effort.
I hold the position of executive secretary for a very busy public figure and pride myself on being a good wife, a very efficient secretary, a great mom and grandmom, and very active in several volunteer organizations. What more can I say, Dr. Wilson, other than I wished you had been around 30 years ago.
“I captured my temperature in one cycle. I am 95% cured” – Samantha
Issues covered in the account below:
- Anxiety / Panic attacks
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
…In January of 1996, my symptoms had progressed so much that I couldn’t eat or drink anything without some form of a sensitivity. For three weeks straight, I drank only ginger ale because I was so terrified. My old family doctor wanted to take me off my T4 because he thought that I was getting hyperthyroid. He was wrong but I was still terrified. I thought that I was dying. My compulsion to avoid food lead to obsessive compulsive disorder.
I had full blown OCD. I remember the horror I faced inside myself when I was told I had to take medication. I would break out in a sweat, my heart would race. I wished I could die but I was terrified by the thought of death. I was sensitive to almost every medication that I took.
My present family doctor decided that we had to deal with the fear of medicine first. Without overcoming my OCD, I could not progress further in treatment. We started cognitive therapy, Paxil (for the panic attacks) and I saw an environmental specialist who discovered my fourteen food and drug sensitivities. (In fact the T4 that I was taking had phenol in it. I am very sensitive to phenol.)
Dr. Mickelson used VEGA testing to discover my sensitivities. It measures skin resistance by using a metal probe. It is completely non-invasive. This helped me immensely in accepting my condition. Once I avoided the things that triggered negative reactions, I felt so much better. That started me on the road to recovery. I had my OCD under control in about two months. I still had some physical symptoms of Wilson’s. But on the whole I felt so good.
Last summer I decided that the new T4 just wasn’t helping for very long. That’s when Dr. M. decided that I try T3. I started my first and only cycle (I captured my temperature in one cycle. It has been normal for five months now.)
Initially, I was still apprehensive about the treatment. But as I applied my cognitive therapy I soon realized that the strange twitches I was feeling were there before I ever started T3. My doctors and research confirmed that T3 is naturally present in our bodies since birth. We have always had it in us. It is not a drug that is foreign to our bodies. It is a God-send.
I am overwhelmed with a sense of gratitude to T3 and Dr. Wilson’s treatment. Without it, I would still be living in that hell I used to call my life. Now I am so happy, so alive. I am 95% cured. And with treatment I bet you can be too.
God bless and I hope that I have helped in some small way.

I was scared … I had OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) to make matters even more frightening. I was deathly afraid of trying anything new, especially new medicines. I knew that if I wanted to become well again, I had to face my fears head on. I trusted my doctor.
I only had to do one cycle of T3 therapy. In the first couple of days, I was very apprehensive. Every ache, pain or twinge that I felt, my mind raced with fear. I was afraid that the protocol was the cause. It wasn’t. It was my fear and anxiety getting the better of me.
Once I realized this, I calmed down and took one day at a time. I had a good overall experience. I cycled up to 45mcg and cycled back down. That was almost ten weeks ago. Every day I feel as if I am getting stronger and feeling better.Imagine the good health that I would have passed up had I let my fears stop me from trying the protocol. I am not saying that everything will be easy. Most things in life are not easy. Those things that are truly worth it are worth the effort…

This has not happened once since my first day of your treatment.

…I was a worrier … After searching five years to find a cause for my health problems, I was convinced it was all in my mind. For the hundredth time, I read the section on low thyroid function in Prescription for Nutritional Healing. It was at that time that I saw the Wilson Syndrome Hotline phone number. I went to the website and read and read and read. I knew that I had Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome. My specialist wasn’t sure if I had it. It took a year before he felt confident that I was a Wilson’s patient…
My temperature fluctuated in the early days of the protocol…
… Although the medicine does work wonders, it is not a miracle drug. … It took 45mcg before my temp was averaging normal.
… I have been med free for three years now. I haven’t taken as much as an aspirin in that time. When I first started the protocol, I worried about how I would react. I kept in mind that T3 has been in our bodies since birth. It is not like we are introducing a foreign substance into our system. My body adjusted well to the treatment…

(Bull —-!)How come lots of other working mothers in the 90’s weren’t sick all the time? 90% of the time I feel wonderful, lots of energy, my sense of humor has been restored, I’m not irritable, cranky or short tempered anymore, I don’t ache all over, I can sleep the whole night thru on less hours. But, every once in a while, I get “flu symptoms” and I feel like death warmed over. So I guess I still have some work to do, but let me tell you, half the battle is won when you finally have hope that there is relief.

… I was absolutely infiltrated with Candida back in the 80s when I first got sick and had an absolutely terrible time trying to get free of them. In 1992 I had a book published, got married, and had a hysterectomy, in that order. My depression lifted and I felt much better, and I didn’t have a yeast problem until I got divorced and my best friend moved away. The depression came back and the yeast came with it. To me, this supports Dr. Wilson’s idea that emotional or physical stress can contribute or cause low temps and the symptoms that come with them. Seems like the low temps just indicate the horrible effects of stress on the thyroid and the resulting systemic symptoms. Anyway, after finally coming down with a full blown fibromyalgia flare up, I’m undergoing T3 therapy as recommended by Dr. Wilson and guess what? My yeast are gone!! My fatigue is almost gone! And my pain is almost gone, too! Today I can boast a 98.6 body temp, still fluctuates some, but getting there. The point of this long wordy is this: Sure, you can get better with time and luck and diet and healing happiness of the sort I had for a while in 1992, but why wait for all that stuff to work when you can take a few capsules of a totally natural substance and get back in the business of living? I feel blessed to have been guided to this treatment!

I am on my 5th week of the first cycle with T3 and have more energy. Blurred vision is gone, and for the first time in years my temperature is in the normal range. Choking sensations in my throat have gone away, hypoglycemia is improved, allergies are gone. I’m still struggling with depression, mild anxiety (less frequent), and have moved from being exhausted every day to more energy. I really did not have any side effects from the T3, though I had my doubts that it would work for me. It has worked and my body temperature has been in the normal range for 2 weeks now. I started in the low 97 temp range and am consistently averaging 98.4+. The only side effect I had was a continual racy and agitated feeling, like my body was being sped up.
After two weeks of it I was ready to quit as it was driving me nuts. I found a product called KAVATROL at the health food store and it completely eliminated the edginess. I was able to complete the cycle and am now weaning off after my first cycle. I am VERY excited and encouraged about all of my improvements and look forward to getting completely well in the near future.

Everyone is different….AND everyone’s compliance is different as well…compliance is extremely important…and controlling the wean as directed is also important to maintain progress. She went from looking like a “little old lady” to being feisty and energetic!
I’m getting finished with my first wean and will begin cycle two very soon…even though I haven’t captured this cycle, my average temp has increased from 97.2 to about 97.9 for the last couple days on 15mcg (it was averaging 98.4-98.6 for about a month before that)…that increase alone is enough to make me willing to continue.
Is the protocol a lot of work? I guess…but you get it down to a science and it really doesn’t take a lot of time, the battle is in remembering to do what you need to do!! I strongly recommend the Casio telememo30 or databank watches with the 5 alarms…I can’t tell you how many times I would have missed my dose without it…and with the brain fog I get…It was worth it!! :-)

…My strongest recommendation to you would be to get the book and Drs Manual…(at least the Drs Manual)…I had the same symptoms and more. After one week on the T3 Therapy, I have maintained a 98.6 average for 4 days now. I feel like a new human!
… the T3 therapy is 1.) a capsule you take twice daily (exactly on time) it is “compounded” for 12 hour timed release beginning with a small dose and working up daily in small increments, called “cycling up”…2.)it is regulated by your temp…taken 3x daily and averaged…when the temp hits 98.6 average, you maintain the dosage you are taking for 1-2 weeks to let your body adjust and then you “cycle down”. For some people it takes several cycles for their temp to reset and hold…for others it may only take one or two. During this time as your body is “warming up”, you may lose many to all of your symptoms. This is not usually therapy for life as the body has the ability to reset to a normal temp in most cases.
I don’t know how clear I’ve been… I would strongly recommend the manual though…it is written in language that makes it very clear…with good analogies and lots of descriptive pictures.

I finally changed Dr. and the one I went to believed in herbs and all kinds of strange things but I was so desperate. He took more blood and then he made me start taking my temperature every 3 hours, I really thought this Dr is way off. He then said that it sounded like I had Wilson’s Syndrome. He had never treated anyone for this but since I was at the end of my rope we decided to just give it a try. I have to say unlike many others it took me a little over a month before I actually felt better. One day I started shaking all day and then it stopped and then I felt like a million bucks. I didn’t realize how bad I actually felt because I forgot what it felt like to feel good.

After two more cycles (another two or three months), my bad sinus headaches stopped.

My problem began when I quit smoking 4 years ago. I started gaining weight. I tried to lose weight on my own, but to no avail. I went to a weight loss clinic and started their program. They kept telling me that I must be cheating because I wasn’t losing weight and I was not in ketosis.
In August, 1988, I moved to Florida and tried another weight loss clinic. After 6 months of staying on their program of 800 calories a day, I lost 4 pounds. Discouraged and very depressed I went to an endocrinologist for help. My thyroid was under active and I was given Synthroid. A year later I was even more depressed, constantly tired, headaches every day and still overweight. I talked to my doctor. He told me I would just have to live with myself as I was, overweight and tired. I told him I refused to live the rest of my life the way I felt. He told me I needed to see a psychiatrist to help me accept the way I was. This caused me to feel even more hopeless, depressed and discouraged. I even felt I must be going crazy. Every night for months I cried myself to sleep, growing more and more despondent.
Fortunately, I was told about Dr. Wilson. He explained to me what could be causing my metabolism to be so sluggish and that the depression and fatigue could be related to Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome. In just a few short weeks of beginning treatment, I was beginning to feel less fatigued and the depression was lifting. In just a couple of months, I lost 40 pounds, and even more important, the fatigue was gone. Depression, fatigue, and headaches are no longer a part of my day. I eagerly face each new day with energy and a positive outlook. I am so thankful to Dr. Wilson, his staff, and the many hours of research he has done to find help for me. I have truly been given a new lease on life.

In September 1989, I was referred by my own GYN to an endocrinologist for thyroid testing. I complained of debilitating fatigue, headaches, depression, and rather frightening episodes of monthly PMS. Actually these symptoms had been present for at least 3 to 4 years, and I had previously had thyroid testing (at least 3 times that I recall) and I was told that the results were in the “normal” range. The endocrinologist diagnosed me as being hypothyroid and prescribed Synthroid. In a follow up visit in January 1990, I explained that I felt no better than before I began taking the medication – I literally felt no difference and all the complaints were still present. The doctor I was seeing said that obviously these symptoms were caused by something other than the hypothyroidism. He suggested I see my “regular” doctors since there was nothing more he could do for me, and I was to continue taking the Synthroid for the rest of my life.
Needless to say, this was very disappointing, but I really had no alternative and simply did not know where to go or what to do next. My mother suggested that I had nothing to lose by seeing Dr. Wilson, since the fatigue and headaches were at a level that made daily functioning extremely difficult.
I was astounded that the profile for Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome seemed to be tailored to me personally. Then when I went, I subsequently began charting my temperature and found it was always well below 97.4 and I began to hope that I had finally come to the right doctor. When I began taking the liothyronine [T3 compound], I literally felt better immediately and within a few days felt better than I had ever felt in my life. The fatigue was gone, the headaches were gone, and the depression was gone.
Perhaps even more phenomenal, was that days prior to my first menstrual cycle after beginning the medication, I, for the first time in as long as I could remember, experienced no discomfort whatsoever- no mood swings, no cravings, no depression, no irrational behavior, and no cramping. Needless to say I was ecstatic and was almost non-believing that I could feel so generally good.
The list of the additional physical changes that have taken place during my treatment would be extensive. Some specifics are as follows: Formerly brittle fingernails are now strong and growing. My skin was always blemished and dry and now is clear and more moist. I sweated excessively and now do so only moderately. I am even-tempered and no longer have severe moods (my husband will attest to this). I formally, on a daily basis, had episodes of “spots before my eyes” and momentarily blurred vision – this has completely stopped. A most significant result is the absence of fatigue. It is simply something I remember from the past and no longer experience. The depression which had begun to make me question my overall sanity is also gone. My family and friends quite frankly think I’m a different person and are pleased with the new me. I feel like a new person. The primary benefit that I have gained from my treatment is complete absence of any physical ailments, symptoms, or complaints, and the general sense of overall wellbeing. I feel well physically and mentally. It feels almost miraculous. I can only, in understatement, say thank you Dr. Wilson for giving me my life back.
